Techno Design IP on a 16,237 feet high expedition

Sponsor and participant of the ICT Expedition 2009

The 5th until the 15th of June Frank Dros (CEO) will hit the mountains of Alaska together with 20 other ICT-managers and IT-providers from The Netherlands and Belgium. The expedition members will climb Mount Sanford, with its peak at 16,237 feet and therefore the sixth highest mountain in the United States of America. Accompanied by experienced guides they will try to reach the top, facing extremely cold temperatures and heights.

Frank Dros will go on this adventure to shift his competitive performances, to meet people with the same interests and maybe even build up new friendships. Frank’s ultimate goal is to plant the Techno Design IP flag on the top of Mount Sanford. Neither an athletic or business challenge is too big for Frank Dros. Frank wants to reach the top with this expedition team. With this attitude he also supports his clients, synergy is the key to success.

The goal of this ICT Expedition is to bring the providers and customers of ICT products closer together during this unique athletic performance. The ten days of the actual expedition are the highlight of an extensive preparation. In January all the participants were subordinated to extensive medical and athletic tests. Based on these tests each expedition member received a personal training schedule to appear as fit as possible at the start of the expedition. A psychological test decided which role every expedition member has to fulfill, how the climb teams would be divided and how the group members would be divided over the various tents. Before the start of the expedition, the group went to the Ardennes on three different weekends to get to know each other and to learn the right techniques.

Mount Sanford is a mountain in the Wrangell Mountains in South-East Alaska. The largest part of this mountain chain is located in the Wrangell-Saint Elias National Park and Reserve and is almost completely volcanic. The mountain chain is named after Mount Wrangell, the only active volcano in the region. The expedition members will climb Mount Sanford, with its peak at 16,237 feet and therefore the sixth highest mountain in the United States of America. During the climb the team will be accompanied by local guides.

The ICT Expedition is an initiative of Beyond Limits and is made possible by a number of sponsors, among these is Techno Design IP. For more information about the ICT Expedition 2009 you can go to the following website: www.beyondlimits.ws.
